Amy is a web design and development professional working primarily with the open source Content Management Systems. She has developed and maintained several large community-driven web sites that consist of user profiles, forums, blogs, photo galleries, video/audio integration, moderation tools, and rating systems. A large part of developing these dynamic community sites is increasing the user-base through internet marketing and search engine optimization. Her specialties lie in: Community Building tools such as Forums, Blogs, Groups, Polling/eVoting, Comments, Events and Calendars, Classifieds and Listings; Multimedia Integration for the web including Image Galleries, Video and Audio; XHTML/PHP/CSS and JavaScript. Amy has also worked alongside other industry professionals on robust e-commerce and multi-language sites, putting an emphasis on security and accessibility. Amy obtained her diploma in Multimedia Production and Design from Selkirk College, and Web Designer and Web Developer Certificates from the Victoria School of Business and Technology.
