Paint-In 2010, July 17, Vancouver Island’s largest outdoor visual arts event.

TD Canada Trust and the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria present Paint-In 2010, Victoria's favourite visual arts festival. Join the Victoria community on Saturday July 17th, from 11am to 4:30pm, in celebrating this creative day of arts adventure for all ages.

Paint-In is a community outreach initiative featuring over 100 invited professional and emerging artists from Victoria and the surrounding area. Artists take their studios to the street to display and produce their work on Moss Street between Fort Street and Dallas Road. Paint-In is a free and fun-filled community-based art awareness and education event that sees 35,000 visitors and receives support from the City of Victoria.

Visitors to the event have the opportunity to meet an enormous variety of artists and learn about their work and techniques. Ultimately, the event allows local artists access to a receptive audience while encouraging an appreciation of the arts among the visitors. Over 200 volunteers and participating artists dedicate more than 3,800 hours to make this exceptional community event possible.

This year, Vancouver Island’s largest outdoor visual arts event is celebrating its 23rd Anniversary! Once again TD Canada Trust is demonstrating its commitment to supporting the visual arts as Paint-In's Title Sponsor and Trapeze is proud to be a Community Partner for this Victoria festival event.

Val is off drugs!

Val is back at work and sends everyone a great big wave from her new splint. Her writing duties are somewhat limited at the moment, but the codeine fog is starting to clear. Val fractured her wrist on May 31. Not fun, and being a musician as well as a writer has made this rather distressing for her.

Val in Hospital

Trapeze Partner/CD is officially not having fun. A wee bike accident led to a shattered left wrist and surgery to install various metals parts. Val is currently working from home between doses of opiates and using her new IPad as her sorrowful connection to reality. Cheer Val up and send an email to val@trapeze.ca
