Case Study
Our work for the City of Kamloops is a classic example of the power of strong imagery. The City hired us to develop their "Tournament Capital Brand" - which is an economic development program aimed at attracting nationwide sporting events to the city. We inherited a logo that was rather "clunky" in design, which we could not change. Working with it rather than against it, we exploited the existing colour palette to create a Tournament Capital brand that is vibrant and contemporary enough to market the extensive sports facilities and infrastructure of the city. Working with a local illustrator, we developed a series of street banners, marketing and program materials, and web templates. We even redesigned the graphics for the city's main parkade. The result is an energetic, cohesive brand package that has given Kamloops some powerful marketing tools.
