By now those who live in this region have been exposed to the identity for our local Chamber of Commerce. After many years of operating with a tired brand identity, the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce felt it was time to evolve the brand into something more dynamic to reflect the casting off an “old boys club” image, to signal change, and to make the brand more appealing among younger business owners. Our recommendation was to lead with the words “The Chamber” — as it is simple, friendly and how they are commonly referred to in the community. As a design, the new brand identity is what we would call the “anti-logo” - where the name itself is the hero and graphic approach is simply bold. Other items executed included pop up banners and a web site design template.
