Free Spirit Case Study
Trapeze developed a province-wide, integrated marketing campaign for ‘Free Spirit’, the Royal BC Museum’s 2008/2009 major project honouring BC’s 150 anniversary. We were involved in this project in the best possible way – naming and branding the project and exhibition, developing the marketing plan, and rolling out all creative elements – interactive web site, promotional video, TV campaign and print ads. The idea behind the brand and the campaign was to capture the "personality" of the province over time, by focusing on the unique stories and individuals that have made us who we are. We felt that "Free Spirit - Stories of you, me and BC" hit the right notes in terms of the wild nature of our geography and coastlines, the spirits who originated and settled here, and the interesting characters that made BC famous! Not to mention capturing a hint of our shared lotusland "free spiritedness".
