Case Study
This is the body of work, including brand identity development, that we created for the VCC. The strategy behind the work was to link the conference facility with “the inspiring destination” as a means of encouraging conference planners to bring their delegates the extra mile to Victoria. The logo is west coast inspired to capitalize on “uniqueness of place” and is a graphic depiction of salmon gathering — a metaphor for people gathering. We worked with an aboriginal artist on initial sketches and then adapted that work to create a defining mark that has stood the test of time. The tagline “Share ideas. Be inspired” supports the purpose of conferences in general (sharing ideas/gathering together) and also the notion that delegates would be inspired by Victoria and all that they learn here.
